    Is the general consensus that Roberts should have brought in Jansen in the 8th instead of Kershaw?

    The consensus is he should have brought in Maeda to start the eighth and Jansen in the 10th.

    Yeah. But the difference this year is the number of truly wretched teams in the AL.

    That's an undeniable fact, but if the Rays had gone 7-12 against the Sox or even 9-10 they'd have been out of the playoffs, not one game away from the ALCS.

    The consensus is Friedman should have signed and/or traded for a reliever or two or three in the past 12 months.
