Alex Verdugo’s back injury a stress fracture - The Boston Globe

In case trading Mookie Betts wasn't bad enough, now the key guy the Red Sox got in return is damaged goods. Alex Verdugo has a stress fracture in his back. He actually hurt the back last May and it hasn't fully healed. The Red Sox are saying that they knew about it when they traded for him. Even though they claim it isn't serious, he probably won't be ready for opening day.

I would want no part of trading for a guy with a back injury. So of course, I just got him in my fantasy baseball league. o_O

Speaking of that, are we doing that again this year?

The last time I went to a game, and I used to go to 10-15 a year, I felt utterly bombarded by noise, light and advertising.

That's a problem the owners could work on, but they don't care about longtime customers.

I'll bump the league thread and see about interest. I meant to do it last week, but things got chaotic and I forgot. Bad commish. Very bad.

I renewed the league and bumped the thread on here. Let's keep that conversation there, but glad to have you back. Counting Regan (I'm assuming since he asked), that makes three.
