    The catcher who won an MVP and gunned down base runners daily during his career doesn't pass the "eye test," I guess.

    Then you're baseball stupid. How is Curt Schilling not a Hall of Famer? How is Tim Raines not a Hall of Famer? How in the name of all that is holy and good is Ivan Rodriguez not a Hall of Famer?
