    Maybe not, but realistically, the Giants' problem was not the HC. It was the fact that they have very little talent on the defensive side of the ball. Their LBs are atrocious, they can't pressure opposing QBs with their front four, which forces them to blitz too often and, since their secondary can't cover anyone, they get consistently torched, particularly on third down.

    Miami is a nice fit.

    - He's got the name / pedigree ownership wants
    - Skilled, but inconsistent QB
    - Decent offensive skill players
    - Ability to generate a pass rush

    Sounds a lot like the Giant teams that consistently gave a division rival, i.e. New England, all they could handle.
