Mike Leake would be a great closer.

When does he pitch against Matt Harvey?

From today's Chicago Tribune: "Ventura hopes his new offense can help Sale put up better numbers than he had in 2015, when he was 13-11 with a 3.41 ERA and a team-record 274 strikeouts."

Todd Frazier's home runs are going to subtly change the wind patterns on the South Side of Chicago, thereby giving just enough of a boost to Sale's fastball velocity that his ERA is expected to improve by 0.23 runs per game.

That Stroman kid needs to calm down and not scream and pound his glove every other inning.

Pete Abraham of the Globe made an excellent point this morning. Why the hell did MLB schedule Tampa Bay and Toronto, two teams with domed stadiums, to play each other in the opening series of the year? April snow is hardly unheard of in many major league cities.

Heard a great joke the other day: What's the difference between a Cubs fan and a pothole?

Agreed. Dome teams and West Coast teams should always be at home in early April when possible.
