    Two power pitchers and a battle of nerves. Historically, the American team is usually the first to crack in finals like this.

    Wowie, New York. They play some great baseball.

    Also good that we avoided an international incident after the terrible "dead-ball strike" call. The kid didn't swing, but he walked on the next pitch.

    Kind of looked like he went to me. It's one of those things you see at that age, so I didn't question the call at all. My son has been hit by a pitch he's swung at more than once, although much more obviously, I hate to say!

    I've seen it a lot too -- along with angry parents who don't understand the rule -- but I thought on that one it was pretty clear he checked up.
