Let's see if Page 2 starts a little better than the last attempt.

My thread title was better. ;)

    Turn 2 with Charlie Gehringer.

Just tried deleting my thread and I can't, so I'll let the mods delete (unless they like my thread title better :D)

I'm glad Wakefield turned in such a good performance today--the Sox needed it. I'm sure it was mentioned on the other thread, but no surprise Dice-K went on the DL.

    Jerry Remy?

It's gotta be Bobby Murcer or Derek Jeter.

No, this is the better non-New York centered baseball thread.

And Charlie Gehringer would have been a better choice than Murcer or Jeter too.

We had Derek Jeter last year, anyway. Might as well mix it up.

Oh, I know. I'm just kidding.

Those were just the first two "number twos" that popped into my head.

    But Jerry Remy?

Besides, I'm still pissed that Billy Martin wasn't referenced in the first thread.

    And yes, I'm still kidding.

American-born black players in the major leagues up two percent from last season (to 10.2 percent). Also, Richard Lapchick gives the sport an "A" for minority hiring for the first time ever:

    You spelled "Deux" wrong, too.

    The French weep.

If you were around the other night Evil Bastard tried doing a Remy thread despite orders from the boss to extend running threads to 60 pages before starting a new one.

Hank definitely thought about his title much longer than I did.

I appreciate Jackie Robinson's legacy as much as anyone, but everyone wearing No. 42 with no names on the back today is confusing the hell out of me ...

    Oops
Agreed. It's entering the forced GBA territory now.

As for the typo, Kevin. D'oh!
