    Nate Davis is a badass. If Love catches that shoulda-been touchdown in Lincoln, or if Davis doesn't throw that pick-six, the Huskers would have been toast from that moment on. Regardless, I'm hoping Ball U. makes a Boise State-like run for you and another Muncie alum I'm friends with.

    Slappy, well done. Everyone else, I'm happy -- and kinda stunned -- to see we didn't pick Georgia No. 1. A nice change of pace.

    Mystery Meat is in, but from now on -- for everyone -- when the poll is posted, no late entries. Simply, you know when the deadline is and by seeing the finished poll, the potential for skewing voting exists.

    No. Next poll is due NOON Sept. 1 and NOON every Monday after that -- except for the Labor Day weekend poll, due that Tuesday by (wait for it).... NOON.
