    Newsday reports that Willie Randolph passed on being Manny Acta's bench coach and may sit out the season if he doesn't get the Milwaukee job.

    No, the story said Randolph passed on a chance to be a coach with the Nats and "if" he doesn't get the Brewers managerial job, he will sit out the 2009 season.

    In Hockeybeat's defense, it was a weirdly written lede and I had to reread it to make sure understood.

    Sounds good to me.

    So I'm guessing the Brewers will now announce Ken Macha as their manager tomorrow or Friday.

    Not sure how I feel about that.
