Hey, Brewers fans, what would you think of Willie Randolph as your next manager? (MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

He has the distinction of being a better idea than Macha. Other than that, though, I got nothing.

Won't happen. Were I a betting man, I'd put my money on Bob Brenly.

Nobody deserves that. Yost to Sveum to Randolph? These are the saddest of possible words ...

Brenly would be a good choice, methinks; much better than Randolph anyhow.

Hell, Bernie Brewer would be a better choice than Randolph.

Maybe they should just have a sausage race. Winner gets the manager's job!

Would Bernie conduct interviews at the top of the slide?

Brenly is the front-runner, but I'm not that much more thrilled about him than I am Randolph.

Remember, Brenly won in one of those year-after-Showalter seasons. The further Brenly got from the Showalter era, the worse he got.

They won despite him, at least in terms of in game decision making, not because of it (honestly, I don't remember examples, but I remember the impression at the time). In terms of the leadership stuff, I have no idea.

Maybe Doug Melvin can ask for permission to interview to Dusty Baker.

If they want to keep with the theme of Cub TV announcers, Joe Carter's probably available. Dan Plesac could be the pitching coach.

Brenly never struck me as a good strategist either. The Brewers can do much better than that.
