So I have to sweat out whether I get an NIT bid? :)

How many teams qualify for the NIT? I may have some time on my hands again tonight.

I'm much cuter and less annoying though. :D

    I think 40? 7 vs. 10 and 8 vs. 9 in each region is the opening round, then 1 vs. 8-9, 2 vs. 7-10, 3 vs. 6 and 4 vs. 5

  5. Re: SportsJournalists.com March Madness

    I thought it was 32.

You can have cuter, but the rest is up in the air.

Actually, you are right. It WAS 40 until last year, then they cut back to 32.

    So, it is like a normal bracket with: 8 at 1, 7 at 2, 6 at 3 and 5 at 4?

I feel moderately compelled to come up with my own brackets based on a combination of quality/quantity/frequency. Someone like Jones might have less than 2,000 posts but should be in there.

Agreed. If you won SportsJournalists.com Member of the Year, you should be in. Ditto all former members/newbs.

EDIT: Hell, it also doesn't take into account self-nukings. Otherwise, Junkie definitely would be in. Ditto Alma/Chinatown.

I think this is just going to encourage additional post padding.
