    The "blow up" remark was both a veiled reference to 9/11 and an attempt at humor. Forgot to turn the sarcasm font on. Sorry.
    And it's not that our gas prices are high compared to the rest of the world. It's that they're high compared to both my paycheck and what they were 18 months ago. My check hasn't doubled, but gas prices have. Therefore, they seem unreasonable.
    Geez, looks like I was 0-for-2 on this thread, too.

    Saw it for $2.69 in our corner of RSN yesterday ... a day after paying $2.76 a gallon on the other side of town.
