Hmmm, Arnold, are you sensing a regular behind that new handle, perchance?

Long-time lurker first-time poster. I don't understand the hostility around here.

Sure you don't - how 'bout this: We do an IP check and, if you are a regular, you take a hike for a year.
And I have money on which long-time poster you'll turn out to be.

It's kind of like that old truck commerical, where the actors talk about how their truck made it through 100,000, 200,000 or even 300,000 miles. I remember one guy talking about how his truck made it to 200,000 on a bridge, and the guy said he pulled his truck over and started celebrating. Now, if I saw some guy on a bridge climbing out of his truck and start jumping around, I'd be calling the cops, because I'd be just a little concerned for the guy's safety.

In other words, posting about a milestone is one of those silly things that makes life weird. But, as a bunch of pro athletes like to say, and one infamous former trainer said in front of Congress, it is what it is.

    And I promise, I won't start a thread when I reach 2,000.

But I might start one when I reach 1,999. :)

Babar needs to get ME a beer.

How about "Edge of Seventeen" with "Rhiannon" on the side?
