Since this is one of the most popular World Series on the board..........

Who caught the last out of Game 7........who hit the last out of Game 7?

    Most popular for whom?

    Not for Blue Jays fans.

If the Blue Jays don't cough up a 3-1 lead to the Royals (and Sundberg just drove the last nail, George Brett built the coffin) they beat the Cards. No doubt in my mind.

Most popular for Cards fans who love to whine and Royals fans who like to rub it in.
The same people who bitch about Red Sox-Yankees getting too much attention or a Subway Series being no big deal outside of New York, can't let go of a 22-year-old WS that nobody outside of Missouri gives a flying fuck about anymore.

Who cares? The WS ended in the 9th inning of Game 6 with Jorge Orta at bat. And Denkinger on the first base bag. GRRRRRRR.....

    Correct.

    Andy Van Slyke hit it.

Not true. The series ended after Game 7. 11-0. When the Cardinals folded faster than a 90's dot-com business. Fucking revisionist history.

What did the Cardinals hit in the series?
