15-year-old kid invents algae-powered energy system

    Honestly, I feel a little dumber just reading this. Texas high-school kid comes up with a way to use algae to
    • turn sewage and trash into methane and bio-oil for fuel,
    • produce food for humans and livestock,
    • sequester greenhouse gases, and
    • produce oxygen.

    I'm just going to go bang my head against a wall now. :p

    Pretty cool, though. Good to see that our depence on oil is probably going to be much less in the hopefully near future.
