Watching this now on PPV. Bought it blind, never heard a thing about it, but it doesn't suck.

    Anyone else ever see this?

I thought it was great, as many of Stephen King's short stories converted to the screen are.

I thought it was average at best. I'm a huge Cusack fan, but this one just didn't do it for me.

  5. Isn't that the flick with Gerard Depardieu?

Precious Roy: Hopefully, that includes "The Mist," too!

My first exposure to "1408" was on the Stephen King CD set that came in a cigarette box.

    Damned creepy.

I don't really like horror-suspense movies, and I thought it was very good. And not just because I've got a tiny, tiny man-crush on John Cusack.

I enjoyed it. It's very hard to find a bad John Cusack movie. Not all are spectacular, but this was basically him onscreen by himself for 100 minutes. Can't go wrong.

I enjoyed it. Cusack was terrific.
