    Long way to go. But after Woods was 4-over through two holes, he makes the turn at 3-over.

    Anything 5-over or better will be in the mix.

    This is classic US Open golf. Pars are great and birdies are stunning.

    As long as it stays this windy, 280 is liable to be the winning score. Course isn't gonna get less firm.

    What's with the bulky brace Tiger's sporting just below his knee on his left leg? You can really see it when the wind blows his trouser leg.

    He’s had five surgeries on his left knee going back to 1994. Don’t know if it’s new or always wears it.

    DJ may be hard to catch if he comes in with a two or three-stroke lead. Of course he could triple too before sunset. He owes Rich Beem a beer.
