    The proliferation of mass shootings in the US (normalcy of it) may be the worst stain on my generation, beyond even 9/11. How we let this happen is shameful.

    Gun availability tops the list by a wide margin. Glorification of violence - in every medium - is an issue. So is copycatting.

    Hopelessness, fear, isolation, distrust...all those function as an undercurrent. There’s a malevolence at play in America. One reason guns are so sacrosanct to some Americans is because many believe themselves alone.
