    Because it happened to a black guy in the South, and as Mizzou has has informed us time and again, everybody in the South is a racist.

    Didn't you get the memo?

    There's a lot of blame to go around here, but the main problem is mandatory minimum sentences that remove any discretion from the judge.

    You could fill 1,000 pages with stories of people imprisoned by outrageous mandatory minimum sentences.

    I thought the video showed no rape occurred and that was why he was charged with the lesser sentence of getting a BJ.

    Where I grew up, in smalltown Ontario, there was this girl called One-Eyed Barb. She lost her eye in a snowball fight. Four holes for the price of three, went the charming old saw.
