    That was Deep Impact, which can put you into a deep sleep. Slow and boring as disaster movies go. At least Armageddon had a sense of humor.

    That movie's ending in Hell was totally freaky for a Disney flick.

    The Core and The Day After Tomorrow immediately came to mind when I saw this thread. Of course the scene where Indiana Jones escapes from the nuke was possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in a movie.

    I'm with you on that one. Armageddon is a Michael Bay film that doesn't take itself too seriously and is a thoroughly mindless, but entertaining popcorn film.

    Deep Impact took itself way too seriously, but still has absurdity like Elijah Wood outrunning a Tsunami while on his bicycle.
