This has probably been discussed here before, but I missed it. I finally think I should transfer my many cashettes to CD, but I don't know how. I Googled and see free instructions and a few systems you can buy (DAK is the most prominent), but I'm guessing at least a few people here have done this and have some good advice.

Anyone? Anyone?

Go to Sears. Purchase (charge) the most expensive CD recorder they offer. Take it home, connect your cashette deck (RCA plugs), and burn all your tapes to CDs. Then repackage the CD recorder and return it. Simple and free. That's how I did it.
