The Best Restaurants & Sports Bars thread

Re: The Best Restuarants & Sports Bars thread

Chains;
Morton's Steakhouse
P.F Changs
TurLuck's

Sports Bars:
The Sofa King (Ft.Lauderdale)
Quarterdeck (Lauderdale, Miami, FL)

Wet Willy's (South Beach, FL) not really a sports bar but the best drinks, view and scene around.

Restaurant faves:

Long Beach Brewing Co.
Rock Bottom (Long Beach, CA)
Woolgrowers (Bakersfield, CA.)
La Loma (Denver)
Wynkoop's (Denver)

Sports Bars:

National Sports Grill and Bar (Santa Ana, CA). Has since been torn down. The one near Angels Stadium and one in Buena Park, CA. are still up and running and are solid.
Any place where the SportsbyBrooks.com women show up in and around Los Angeles is worth it, too!

I hear Cheetah's in Pompano Beach is a great place to run up $800 on your credit card without even realizing it. On the bright side, your clothes will indeed smell like all kinds of stripper.

Maybe they have a lovely dinner buffet as well, not really sure.

The place in Boston, that SI ranked as the best sports bar a couple years back, is a great place. I went there one night following the Beanpot, and had a blast.

This thread is useless without Jones

Jones'd vote for the Loose Moose, in Toronto.

That of which you speak is The Fours. Great, great place. Also, a nod for Church Street Tavern in Burlington, Vt.

I've always enjoyed Hockeytown Cafe in Detroit.

It's much more than hockey. Three floors, rooftop patio overlooking Woodward Avenue and Comerica Park's entrance. Great food. Fast service and always packed on game days.

Spent six hours before Game 1 of the World Series there. Had a blast.

Other bars with, um, character in MoTown include Nemo's (still kicking despite Tiger Stadium falling down around it), the Anchor (downtown and free shuttle to Wings games), the Cock & Bull, the Post (great before Wings games) and the Well.
