So who is watching CBS Evening News tonight?

Haven't watched it for years; why would I start watching now?

Haven't consistently watched network news since Walter Cronkite was on.

Haven't consistently watched network news since Walter Cronkite was on. I had to splay one leg to the right and hold my left arm behind my head while holding the antenna with my right hand to get good reception. And we liked it!

No, we had cable by then. We got 10 or 15 channels, instead of the 1-2 we got when I was in grade school.

:D :D :D

Nice to hear Cronkite voicing the intro. She was poorly lit and/or made up, needed to actually sit at the anchor desk for more than a segment, and they could have lost the 10 minutes of fluff at the end with little trouble. Of course, for the zillion bucks they pay her, maybe they can't afford as many correspondents now. As for the close, how about, "Hugs and kisses, Katie." Better than "Courage."
