Having covered games with both Kevin Durant and Acie Law, here's my take:
Durant is in a league of his own. Law is great. If I were starting a college team tomorrow, he'd be one of my top picks, but Durant's talent is unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it. And he's a big part of the reason Texas is having a great season despite being virtually all freshmen and sophomores (they haven't had a junior or senior start a game yet).
I'd vote for Durant eight days a week in this poll.

I don't think anyone is angry Chuck...it's not important enough t be angry. But a little mystified by some of your choices....like Nichols and Aaron Gary. Nice players but not even Big East Player of the Year.

Durant has been the best this season. Though, considering the way he has played in the last few games, I wonder what a full season of Derrick Caracter would have been like.

Durant. And it's not close.

I'm with you Red. Although the dooche bags that vote probably won't want to give a freshman the award just like they didn't give Adrian Peterson the heisman three years ago.

Me and my buddies were debating about this earlier today. I'm going with Durant, but Neitzel has really impressed me this year. If he isn't your POY, that's fine. But I think that if there was an MVP award, he'd definitely deserve it.

Sorry, but if there were an MVP, it would be Acie Law IV. He's the reason I debated whether a conference could have the national POY, and yet determine that someone else deserved conference MVP honors.

Law willed the Aggies to victory at Allen Fieldhouse (among other games), where they became the first Big 12 South team to ever win. And that's probably going to be the difference in who wins the Big 12 regular-season crown.
