Obviously, I'm not interested in doing much tonight. I've noticed that in my iTunes, there are several instances of same song, different artists.
A partial sampling:

This is exactly what I wanted out of this thread. I had no idea Natalie Merchant and Mindy Smith covered Jolene. Kick ash.

Doc, Dylan said that Jimi did "Watchtower" better than he did. I agree.

This could lead to another topic: covers better than originals. For starters, I'd nominate anything by Kristofferson. As for "Blinded," I'll take Springsteen's original, however ragged it may be.

Re: Garth: I'm Pished that Trisha Yearwood dumped Raul Malo for Garth. I rarely pay attention to celebrity bullship, but that egregious-ashed injustice caught my eye. Malo's a badash.

Dwight Yoakam's "Under the Covers" album trumps the originals on every track...from "Wichita Lineman" to "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues."

On an unrelated note, "Mercy, Mercy Me" by Marvin Gaye is forking sweetness.
