All-Star Game running thread

HEY! First pitch — after only 41 minutes of flippin' pre game.

It's only the middle of the first inning and I'm already sick of Joe Buck.

This is going to be a very long game.

OK, I've got to admit something: I'm a huge baseball head. But for whatever the reason I've never really watched Brad Penny pitch.

Man alive, is he good. And a big ol' big ol' hoss of a hoss. I never knew how beefy the dude is. And I never knew he could throw 99.

Yes, I'm a Dodgers fan, but in New England we rarely see Dodger Blue on TV.

Man, Penny is good.

The 98th ring of heck will feature me watching the 2002 Tigers take on the 1962 Mets with Joe Buck as the pbp guy and Chris Berman doing color commentary.

I'm diehard Tigers, but that was really funny.

Not 15 minutes ago, Fox showed footage of Phil Garner in the clubhouse saying, "We have no signs. If you want to steal, steal. If you want to swing on 3-and-0, swing."

And just now, Joe Buck says, "Both managers are managing like this is the seventh game of the World Series."

Question: Does he really believe this stuff, or is he simply incapable of speaking without ridiculous hyperbole?

We have a winner!

Should I just go ahead and ground Joe Buck now?

Maybe we can get Bob Uecker to fill in.

OK, I think the wrist bands have "RCW" etched in them. Being in Pittsburgh, the first two might have something to do with Clemente, but I'm still confused....
