    Sports Editor - Parsons Sun

Mack took the Nevada, Mo., job. That's my input. I don't think he visits these boards but he might be one to contact on the current state of the Parsons paper.

Possible opening at The Santa Fe New Mexican

There have been some really good people to go through the New Mexican, and there are still some really good people there. It's got a good rep for being a quality paper (no doubt because of the people working there). Just know that low 30s there is like mid 20s most places because of the cost of...

    Sports writer, Hobbs, NM

I second the Artesia football thing, with all the weight my handful of posts carries As for the job, how good could it be if you had to live in Hobbs? The only good thing about Hobbs is the multitudes of "friendly" women.

Of course Joplin isnt covering much of anything all that much. I'll really miss covering the Griffons, I will say that.

I've had some personal inquiries so here is some more info. The paper is basically an afternoon daily Tuesday-Saturday. After you put the paper to bed by noon on Saturday you have the rest of that day, all of Sunday and all of Monday off, provided there aren't games. Expect pay to be as it says...

I am leaving the job, by choice, and never covered a single middle school sporting event in three years (outside call-ins from coaches). It is a community sports gig, but I have had Chiefs credentials the past two football seasons (covered home games on my own time), get to cover the Royals...
