Moddy -- there were 50-plus on staff in the early to mid '90s under SE Paul Smith. Might be 30 now. Might be fewer. I echo your thoughts on Fabrizio. His misfortune was to be in a GA pro sports position there. Those aren't exactly secure jobs anymore, are they? (Then again, what is?)

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I wanted to point out the extraordinary work being done by WaPo sportswriter Rick Maese and his wife, Erin, who were evidently on vacation in Japan when the earthquake/tsunami struck. Here's their story from today...
