Zombies vs. Marines -- who ya got?

Loved both "World War Z" and "The Passage"; awesome zombie fiction.

 

Since I don't know the context of how the zombies can be killed, I'll go with the Marines. They have bullets, bombs, nukes and heavily fortified bunkers. Plus aircraft capabilities.

 

What about Vampires? When are we going to prepare for those bastards?

 

If a vampire bites a zombie, do we end up with a race of zombie vampires?
Or would the zombie vampires be relatively mindless and wipe themselves out when they stumble out into sunlight?

 

They would turn into zombie-vampire bats and avoid dying from sunlight during the day. They would just keep falling from their branches and have to randomly fly around until finding someone's neck/brains or a cave to sleep in. Everyone is in big trouble if we have zombie-vampire bats.
