Due to my recent move to another state, I'm going to need a rental vehicle when I visit home.

Sometimes, this rental may not be a whole day. So I got to looking around, and found this thing called Zipcar. You can rent by the hour or day. And they include the gas. There are annual fees and such involved, but it maybe something worth trying.

So, I wanted to see if anyone else around here has used this service and give an opinion.

    thanks, bd77

I looked at it, but it only has places in like major major cities. Which works for you, but not for me.

    Tahoe isn't a major city?

Haven't used it but know several people in SF who rely on it, and they have zero complaints.

They have Zip car at the place I work and the employees all seem to love it. We, as contractors, have no access to it but the regular FTE's are always using the service.

My sister uses it NYC, and I haven't heard any complaints.
