Damn you beat me to this.

I mean there's no reason to think he'd overreact in an argument.

Wow. Why don't I think this will ever be mentioned on ESPN?

I guess it’s never too early in the day to be drunk when you’re unemployed.

I'm sure Herman hanging out in message parlors will be a huge dealbreaker for recruits.

    Huge. Yuuuge.

Could Twitter not be sued for this? Defamation?

Herman could sue Smith certainly, but Smith doesn’t own a pot to piss in, so what’s the point. Plus, it opens Herman up to discovery, which for a major college coach is never good.

I imagine Herman’s guilty of about 82% of the allegations. Call me cynical. He just seems like the type. Not every coach does. Mark Dantonio, for example, seems more likely to read a very long, very dry biography than visit a massage parlor.

So to be clear, if you ran the news desk at ESPN, your decision would be to amplify the potentially libelous allegations of a man who:

    1. Clearly abused alcohol on a regular basis

    2. Is accused of physically abusing his wife repeatedly for a decade.

    3. Is clearly emotionally unstable.

    4. Was fired from his job when these issues came to light.

    This is your news judgment?
