Man, that's a blast from my college past. My buddy - best man actually - blasted that all the time in his dorm room.

It popped up on my iPod the other day. I played it four times in a row. That, and "Let Me Clear My Throat" were pretty much the soundtrack of my college life.

One of three — Left of the Dial or Bastards of Young by The Replacements, or Teenage Riot by Sonic Youth.

    "Beginnings" -- Chicago. Seems appropriate.

I might also start it off with "A Hard Day's Night." That opening chord just says, "attention, everyone. Rock-and-roll on the way."

"Alice's Restaurant" because I'll need at least a half-hour to figure out how to run all the equipment.

This actually happened to me 10 years ago when the radio station's host got into a fist fight with a listener at a remote... I got the call that night and was asked to fill in the next day. Led to a 2-year run on daily talk radio.

My song to lead off each morning's show.

"Pleasure" by the Soup Dragons - but just the rockin' guitar solo on the bridge.

  11. Locomotive by Guns N Roses, and then shut the place down mother-effer
