You're given your own radio show - What's the first song you play?

I'd probably be on XM or something, but...

    (NSFW and not Rick Astley)

    In all honesty...

    - "Cochise" by Audioslave

    OR

    - "Bulls on Parade" by RATM

Both have great intros and would be a perfect lead in to the first show.

Much obliged, dools. The check's in the mail.

    -------------

Mine would be "Death From the Skies" by George Hrab.

    That's really good stuff there.

Some great ones already mentioned by others here - "Around The Dial" is a great choice - so I will go with "Rock And Roll" by Zeppelin.

    Hmmm ... pick one ...

"Turn It On Again" - Genesis ("All I need is a TV show ... that and the radio ... ")
"Dance On A Volcano" - Genesis ("Let the dance begin ... ")
"The Spirit of Radio" - Rush (Thanks, I Should Coco)
    "One Little Victory" - Rush
"Moving In Stereo" - The Cars
    "Big Shot" - Billy Joel

    "Begin the Begin", REM

1st runner up: "She Sells Sanctuary", The Cult

"Around the Dial" is a fantastic call, btw.

Running through the old iTunes library, here's what I'd come up with.

    Nashville Country Station
    Gone Country -- Alan Jackson
Play Something Country -- Brooks & Dunn

    Texas Country Station
Bob Wills Is Still The King -- Waylon Jennings

    Classic Rock Station:
    The Rocker -- Thin Lizzy

    Blues Station:
Ain't Wastin' Time No More -- Allman Brothers

Oldies: (Lots of good choices here)
Rock & Roll Music -- Chuck Berry
Rock Around The Clock -- Bill Haley & The Comets

    80s Rock:
For Those About To Rock -- AC/DC

Real easy. Patches, by Clarence Carter. In fact, I consider doing a 24-hour marathon, in which I just play it over and over again.

Patches (1970) was one of the very first singles I ever purchased. Great, great soulful song.

One night, a friend and I had a bit to drink and called every radio station we could find a phone number for in Chicago to request it. It was in the mid 90s. We never had our request fulfilled. :( I think we only found one DJ that even knew the song.
