Art Skippper of Sandy, Oregon holds the national high school record in the javelin at 259-10 set in 1988. Bradshaw set the record at 243-7 in 1966.
It was broken a year later by Mark Murro of Essex Catholilc in Newark NJ at 252-8.

Because I like numbers, through two pages the top 10 vote getters are:
    1. Montana
    Manning
    3. Marino
    Elway
    Unitas
    6. Baugh
    Staubach
    8. Graham
    Starr
    Brady

    Eight others have official votes.
    Notable HOfers with no votes:
    Griese
Luckman (though, he has been mentioned as an honorable mention)
    Namath
    Len Dawson

Luckman should have SOMEBODY's vote, first T-formation QB and all. The other three are deserving Hall of Famers, but not top 10 fodder. Did somebody vote for Fouts? He's another Hall guy.

    Montana
    Manning
    Baugh
    Unitas
    Graham
    Fouts
    Marino
    Starr
Staubach (and I hate the Cowboys)
    Favre

Numbers do not mean that much to me, comparing eras, I do not doubt that Unitas, Graham and Staubach could get the same numbers as Kurt Warner.

Super Bowls? Yes its the penultimate game but still only one game. I saw Bradshaw have some very mediocre games in his career. He lost his job one year to Joe Gilliam then got it back because Gilliam got injured. IMHO the Steelers were driven by the Steel Curtain and Franco not Bradshaw (Gerela seemed pretty clutch as well.)

Correction, Elway for Fouts. I loved Fouts' teams and how he threw but not enough. Simply forgot Elway.

Nothing for Fouts, which I should have noted earlier.
Not to threadjack, but here is my list for 10 qbs not in the hall, but eligible

    Roman Gabriel
    Ken Stabler
    John Brodie
    Jim Hart
    Darryl Lamonica
    Boomer Esiason
    Frank Ryan
    Don Meredith
    Tobin Rote

  6. 1. Joe Montana
    2. Otto Graham (10 seasons, 10 title games, enough said)
    3. Peyton Manning
    4. Johnny Unitas
    5. Dan Marino
    6. John Elway
    7. Brett Favre
    8. Tom Brady
    9. Terry Bradshaw

Dear Triple Option: You properly cited Graham's record reaching title games. Starr has five NFL titles in six tries. That's more than anybody else I think. Maybe Luckman had five, but I think it's four. I believe he and Staubach are the most underrated great QBs ever, weird as that concept is.

I stand corrected. Thanks spnited. I've heard stories about how good Bradshaw was in high school. From all reports, he was a stud on the field.

From what I was told, he was a stud on the field, not in the classroom.
