Peterson, Manning, the other Manning, Luck, RGIII, Pirates, Notre Dame, Lin, Giants, Wilson...

Actually, Wilson might be my favorite.

The final day of the Premier League was pretty cool. Left my house for my daughter's soccer game, and the last thing I saw on TV was the Man City coach pointing to a few players and yelling "Fuck you" after the second QPR goal. Got to the game, checked twitter, and saw City had tied it. Refreshed it, and the sumbitches had won.

Not far behind is the USA-Canada women's soccer semifinal in the World Cup. One of the best games I had ever seen.

    1. The college football season as a whole - Notre Dame's wild ride to the BCS title game, the Alabama-A&M and Alabama-Georgia games, the wild night Oregon and Kansas State both went down.

    2. Philip Humber's perfect game.

    3. The Mike Trout-Miguel Cabrera debate. Not just the debate, but just the pleasure of watching two players log historic years in the same league like that.

    4. Peyton Manning's return to form.

    5. Indiana University basketball's return to form, including last year's Sweet Sixteen run and this year's preseason No. 1 ranking (since abdicated).

    6. The Olympics, particularly Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, and the U.S. men's basketball team.

    7. The Oakland A's and Baltimore Orioles.

    8. Rory McIlroy establishing himself once and for all.
