No and no. It was the original Nintendo Baseball. I bought it because it was like $6.99 at Kay-Bee one day in the early summer. Took it home and was hooked instantly, despite the lack of realism (even for 1988). I tried playing a whole season that summer with six teams. Mark Gubicza went 14-0 for the Royals (my teams were "A" for Athletics, "C" for Cardinals, "D" for Dodgers, "P" for Pirates, "R" for Royals and "Y" for Yankees) and Ozzie Smith hit like 12 homers.

In related news, I didn't get laid that summer. :D :D

That's what I was thinking it was, Hardball. Whoever made those two games must have either been the same company, or else one stole from the other.

You didn't get laid that summer? Ha ha. Sounds like me in my NBA Jam days. :)

I remember Hardball. Jose for the blue team always hit some big home runs.

    And the pitches...
    down for fastball
    up for fastball!

Other good games for the Commodore 64, which got lots of use from 1985-1992 in my house:
    Montezuma's Revenge. SO underrated.
All the Olympic games. Summer, winter, world.
Five-a-side Soccer. You could fight in that one and take penalty kicks!
Up-and-down, I think it was called? You had a car and you would go up these paths. Doesn't sound like much, but it was damn fun.
Spyhunter. I loved bumping the motorcycles from behind and watching them crash. good times.

Damn. I might need to get me a Wii.

Hoops or anyone, do you know of sites that allow you to play old school Nintendo games? I have a serious hankering for some RC Pro-Am.

Remember that bouncing smiley face? That thing was a bitch!

As far as arcade games, how about Zaxxon? Dragon's Lair?
