Yeah, buck, but think about how many game-changing and season-altering catches Freddie Mitchell made in his career. It was a long and impressive list indeed.

IIRC, the United States out-scored its opponents 13-3 in the third period.

Joe Carter walk-off home run to win the World Series in '93.

While I've been in attendance for several memorable Packers games (including the two home playoff games in January 1997), my favorite moments recently with me in attendance have been courtesy of Ryan Braun and T-Plush:

Tuck rule game. I remember it was snowing so badly, so I watched it in my little apartment at home alone. After the play and during the review, I just kept saying, "It's over. No way they overturn this." Thank you Walt Coleman.

Change the thread to "Least Favorite Moment in Sports" and I agree wholeheartedly with this. I despise no team in sports more than the Patriots since that day.

I still remember watching it, and being in complete disbelief. Couldn't script a movie better than that.

And as for No. 2, well, Hakim dropped the ball (I was in the Superdome for this one and when my Dad and I got into the car and turned on the radio, the replay of this soundbite was the first thing we heard.)

They still had to earn it. 45-yard FG to tie it? Good for them.

    Right call, wrong rule.

Anyway, was gonna post this before Gator's little snot bubble, but now I'm even more happy to post it:

After all the smack talk . . . Paul Pierce and his "we ain't comin' back to LA!" the Celtics fans here, SI picking Boston, the 13-point third-quarter deficit that sent me to play San Andreas for a half hour, the existence of Bill Simmons . . . this is the most satisfying sports moment I can think of.

Sports were something I knew about when I was a kid, but they didn't really mean anything to me. Easy to take it for granted when L.A. was clearly the sports town of the 1980s. For a long time, sports have provided the means to feed my family. And knowing that after all the talk, that unmitigated jerk Kobe Bryant had truly stamped his Lakers career here, and the Celtics had gone down after all that hype . . . this was one of the two or three sports moments in my life that actually had me in tears.

A close number two - maybe even 1A - just because it was such a shock, I was there (and in one of the two or three actual outdoors spots with shade in the entire venue) and this helped inspire me to choose sports journalism not to mention helped propel U.S. soccer a little more into a foothold:

Least favorite? The moment that crushed your soul?

    Jack Clark.

I mean, Ozzie Smith's moment -- never hit a lefty homer stat preceding him hitting a lefty homer -- sucked. Really sucked.

But Jack Clark's homer devastated me. I was 14. Took me a few weeks to pull out of that funk.

Fucker is twinkle-toeing it around second base. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=20045845&c_id=mlb

Here's a funny little video for the '85 preview of the Cards. The first reporter with the glasses looks 7 sheets past stoned:
