You know what I mean, like when you're waiting with your laptop at an airport or at home when everyone else is asleep and you're bored, and you get a wild hair to do an unusual YouTube search, like these by me.
    --garage bands 1960s
    --cigarette ads 1950s
    --Dumont network

Ganghim; my kids made me do it. Hard to fathom that a Korean video is the most watched of all time.

    This:

...is a Chesterfields cigarette commercial that was part of an episode of 50s-era Dragnet I watched one night killing time while the press got things fixed up. The second part has Jack Webb himself. The message is basically, "Research shows our cigarettes don't hurt you!"

Nerdy gamer side of my coming out, but every once in a while when I'm feeling nostalgic, I like to search for old EverQuest videos. (it's one of the original massively multiplayer online role-playing games)

My most recent YouTube obsession is the Vlogbrothers.

Made by a pair of brothers, John Green (who is an award-winning novelist) and Hank Green (a songwriter), they are hilarious. They started vlogging a few years ago when they made a pact to only communicate via vlogs uploaded to YouTube for a full year. And they've just kept it going since then.

This is a good intro video:
