    Agree, except they were better when they replaced Steven Adler with Matt Sorum... Adler is a horrible drummer...

    Guitar: Eric Clapton or Eddie Van Halen
    Bass: John Entwistle or Chris Squire
    Drums: Neil Peart (who else?)

    Not to mention the deep-rooted bad blood.

    Until you remember that all that other music came after them.  I can't think of anyone that evolved popular music as far in as short a period of time as the Beatles did.  They started out covering '50s pop tunes and finished up by leaving us "The White Album".  Pretty freakin' amazing, IMO.
