Ian Anderson was so embarrassed about that, as I remember it. That said, Farm on the Freeway wasn't a bad song. Certainly not on the order of Aqualung or Locomotive Breath, but still...

Is there some reason behind this move? Or did Eddie just want Wolfie in the band?

The rumor is Eddie didn't like the fact that Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar are friends.

I have to think Lenny Kaye will do the induction speech for Patti Smith

    KISS, back in 1974:

Yeah, certainly nothing cartoonish or buffoonish there.

And for the record, KISS would have my vote. Rock and roll needs more "cartoonish and buffoonish."

    Sirs, Madames,

My vote: Chic ahead of GMF & F5. I love The Msg and White Lines, but the Chic canon is much mor extensive. Chic influenced, GMF & F5 sampled.

    YHS, etc

    KISS does, indeed, suck.

KISS went without makeup for a couple of years so people would take them seriously and they still sucked. Then they went on half a dozen (or more) "Farewell" tours with the makeup on, proving PT Barnum correct.

Don't forget (okay, let's forget) the Gene Simmons reality show, which is the rotten cherry on top of a maggot sundae.

Never watched the show. How does his former Playmate/porn star wife Shannon Tweed look on the show?

I think she looks pretty good, considering she'll be 50 this year. Unfortunately, that in itself doesn't make the show any more watchable. If anything, her continuing attractiveness is more than offset by Simmons acting like an even bigger dickhead than we already thought he was.
