I'm sure somebody's already mentioned this, but the real reason he's against a playoff is the fact that tOSU would annually make second-round exits.

 

Nah, he's finding ways to appease the anti-jock faculty by devising ideas to overthrow the "real" president of The Ohio State University: Senator Sweater Vest.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to NCAA football and I don't understand the BCS system but this quote from Gee brings up two questions.

1) What's wrong with a playoff system and 2) why is he quoting Heston?

1. There's nothing inherently wrong with a playoff system. But the NCAA, the bowls, the school presidents, the TV networks, the players (yes, even them), and the coaches can't agree on how to split the MONEY.

2. Because Gee is trying to sound like a tough guy while wearing a bowtie.
