I've always believed in a "Manhattan Project" type of investment in an alternative energy source. We needed the atomic bomb to win WWII. We need a cheap, alternate source of fuel to win what amounts to World War III, the war over energy.

Take the money we're wasting in Iraq and spend it on energy research and solar- and wind-power investment in the USA. There is no reason for anyone in Arizona, or the other Sunbelt states to not have solar power, or for the windy Heartland and Western states not to make a major investment in wind power.

And yes, screw Ted Kennedy and all those other Martha's Vinyard liberals for protesting againt windmills 20 miles off shore because it would "ruin their view."

The state of Wisconsin is proof that a collaborative partnership can be reached......

Wisconsin is a very heavy hitter in biotech.... one of the surest bets right now for securing federal research dollars......

And it barely went blue in 2004.....

How does a windmill ruin the view of a bottle of Dewar's?

As long as it goes back to $1.50 a gallon, I don't give a crap what I drive.

Goes back? To $1.50? The only way any of us will ever see buck-and-a-half gas again is to move to Venezuela.
