You Tell Me....Are The Bastards Winning???

Let's see...In the last week, I have come across stories about a black woman who was tortured for a week by a family of WVA (one can only presume) uneducated bigots, then, I find this:

And considering how well the criminal justice system works/doesn't work, I have to remind myself that the people who do these awful things are bastards, but it looks like the bastards are still winning (something I have told people for years, with mixed reaction to my saying it).

But after these two horrible incidents, and a wider audience -- my fellow SportsJournalists.commers, who I have never shared this opinion with, I am forced to ask:

Are the bastards still winning?

Sure as hell looks like it to me.

I read about this incident recently and I can't believe this didn't get more play in the media. It's so beastly and so disgusting, there may have been no way to describe it in print without violating community standards.

This cracker, degenerate family all need to be hung from the nearest trees by either their testicles or with a meat hook thru their vaginas. Fuck the trial. Animals don't deserve due process.

 

All I know is that Freddie Krueger is the bastard son of 10,000 maniacs.

 

That's still no excuse for Natalie Merchant's cover of "Because The Night."

 

There's no excuse for that whole band.

Trouble Me didn't guilt trip me into wanting to help the elderly. Instead, the old man beatdown scene from Clockwork Orange entered my head. And I LIKE old people!

 

I don't know if the bastards are winning and this incident is truly horrific, but it's hardly unique -- unfortunate as that is.
