Now on BCC America, if you get that channel. Maybe my favorite Bond movie:

    1. Best title song, sung by Nancy Sinatra.

    2. Great opening montage, complete with spurting lava. They weren't try to evoke an image, were they?

    3. Great double entendres. When Bond tells the Chinese girl he enjoys Asian girls and Caucasion girls the same way he enjoys both Cavier and Peking Duck, she says (after getting out of bed to use the john), "When I come back, I give you best Duck you ever had."

    4. Runner-up: Bond and the Japanese spy are in the geisha house getting sponge baths from the girls. Japanese spy notes to Bond that his British chicks probably wouldn't give him this treatment, and says, "Bond-san ... in Japan, men come first, women come second." To which Bond replies, "I really must retire here."

Thanks for the heads-up. Agree that it's a great film and very underrated in the series.

I know G4 has been showing a couple of the Moore films lately, and USA has Casino Royale on quite often. Who owns the TV rights now? It was TBS for a while about a decade ago and Spike took over. Are they fractured and spread out to different networks?

BBC America has been showing a Bond film, the older ones, every Sunday night for at least the last month.

I'd rather see reruns of Top Gear, but the Bond movies are still fun to watch since I haven't seen most of them in years.

    1. Pretty close, definitely one of the most unique. There's a couple I prefer more.

    2. No question about it. Greatest Bond intro ever.

3 & 4. Connery played up the nod-nod, wink-wink a lot in You Only Live Twice, just to the point of being funny, but not too over-the-top.

You Only Live Twice isn't my favorite -- From Russia With Love and On Her Majesties Secret Service tie for that honor -- but it's definitely the guiltiest pleasure of the Bond series.

Not as dopey as the Moore movies or Diamonds Are Forever, but outlandish. In other words, I watched it for about the 90th time tonight. :D
