    Sounds like your buddy can afford to do his wife a favor and divorce her if he can jet to Palm Beach while she is on a cruise, but he is too much of a prick to bit the bullet.

    I don't like it, either, but it is true this way - if his wife wanted to swing for the fences in a divorce - I would assume all of his extra accounts would be discovered and he has plenty - cars, boats, two houses, stock options, retirement plan, 401K - that he'd lose.

    It would be far more expensive for him than a weekend in Palm Beach or whatever.

    Not saying it justifies it, but in some states it is cheaper to stay than go.

    I don't tell him much of anything these days, starting with hello. I told you, I just don't want to be around it.

    But I think the point of cheating is he is trying to stay in it.
