    Just finished rubbing the ribs. Brown sugar, cayenne, chili powder, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. Leaving one slab untouched, except for a little of the rub that got on the edges, just to see what they'll taste like with nothing on them.

    Beans are made; just need to cook tomorrow. Chicken is still wrapped up, to be seasoned tomorrow before being impaled. Blackberries made some new friends in the cobbler -- I tossed in a few strawberries to keep the blackberries company.

    Watermelon is in the fridge, chillin'.

    Well, I WAS going to spend the rest of the weekend with the in-laws (the rest of the ducklings left Friday).

    However, after getting there, my brother-in-law was a royal jerk to me.

    So I just got home a while ago. I'm sure the spouse will be mad at me even though the major jackassery was not my fault in any way, shape or form.

    Maybe I'll clean the truck tomorrow.
