    "Singles" was released in theaters 20 years ago today (Sept. 18, 1992).

    The soundtrack is probably remembered more than the film is, but to me, it was one of the defining films of my college years. In addition to being set in Seattle during the heyday of grunge, it perfectly captured what it was like to be, well, single in the early 90s, with the AIDS/STD scare and the political correctness.

    And, as referenced in the thread title, it had one of the great athlete film cameos of all-time (mildly NSFW):
