He already supersized the tail. That was part of the problem.

Ohhh that's so funny! He fucked a fat chick!

Seriously, do you contribute anything, anywhere?

As for Phillips' future prospects...the sad thing is he could contribute to a big league organization or TV network. Everyone hammers him for his Mets tenure, but he put together a World Series team. The Mets haven't done fucking shit since he left, and maybe at some point more people will figure out it's the ownership screwing everything up there, not the GMs. And I thought he was fine on ESPN. Not great, but certainly better than most of their talking heads (again, tallest midget, etc).

But yeah, no team will want to hire him in a role of any significance and no network will want him getting air time. It's sad he flushed his career down the drain, but even sadder what he did to his family. I imagine that's what will keep him up at nights, wherever it is he lays his head these days.

This guy has too many friends and contacts in baseball. He will be back. Just not on ESPN.
As a side note. Phillips is going into rehab. For what? For porking unattractive young females?

  4. You don't think that is a problem that needs to be addressed?

Good question. I don't think so.

Phillips problem was infidelity. He didn't kill anyone. It's a personal problem that should've remained between his wife, the mistress and Phillips.
It's a situation that got completely out of hand. It's really no one's business that his guy was having marital problems.
Also, there is no proof that he was using his position with ESPN as a bargaining chip to get into the young lady's panties.

really? sending threatening letters and emails to a co-workers family doesn't warrant termination?

But were the letter threatening or just letters telling about the affair?

She stalked his family. She dropped the letter off at his home and contacted his son through Facebook. She was certainly out of line as well.

She doesn't deserve to have people ripping her for her looks, but her behavior is certainly fair game.

It's a thin line between love and hate.

She's small plankton at ESPN, overworked and underpaid. He was likely pulling down a lot of money.

She has every right to hate Phillips. It sure seems like he used her and tossed her aside. She does not have the right to show up at his house and stalk his family.
