Well, I wish we would begin and end with a new Bravia.
    But, that ain't the case.

Slappy, you have a Phillips. How does this one look?

    Phillips at Sam's Club

There was another one, but now I can't find it.

Specs look great, ratings look good, price is solid..
Three more things to do: 1) Go to Sam's Club and look at the thing in person, see how well you like the pic; 2) Prowl around on sites like Dell, Circuit City and see about reviews from people who've bought it as well as sites like CNET to see about their reviews; if 1 and 2 work... #) get your butt to Sam's Club to buy it.

I just got a 42-inch Sanyo today. So far, so good. 1080p.
Football this afternoon, NHRA event and NLCS all look pretty good. Gotta go to the cable office tomorrow for HD box.

HAVE TO GET THE HD BOX.
Having a 1080p TV without is like have a four-banger in a Mustang.

Yeah, that's my first stop after lunch today. I'm pretty sure they weren't open on Sunday.

FWIW, apparently Samsung makes Sony's LCD screens (google it) or they are made by the same manufacturer.

  8. I heartily agree. I have two Sharp Aquos LCDs and love them both. Absolutely recommend it. I had a friend over the other day and we were playing NBA Live on my 54'. He said, 'Why does this game look so much better on yours than it does on mine and make me want to go out and get another TV?"

Made me feel even better about my choice(s).
