    No, because if you've never had an HD tv, you've never needed an HDMI cable before.

    Here's a simple guide...For the most part, it is true, but there are some other factors...
    720/1080p is clairty of picture.
    15,000+contrast ratio is the depth, richness of picture. But, does not take into account moving from a static image to images of movement (a play from the line of scrimmage).

    Correct. Has nothing to do with the regeneration of the picture. (120 Hz is considered pretty good as of now ... not something to be overlooked, though, if you watch sports and serious action-based entertainment)
